“Dans mon jardin” – the work is inspired by the feeling that arises while observing leaves falling from trees in the garden. The paper relief resembles the veining of a leaf, telling a story through its lines. The image changes colour and shade throughout the day, depending on the sunlight’s intensity. The embossed illustration was created by meticulously carving the drawing into a matrix with a chisel. The piece is a multi-layered paper cut. A fragment of a face hidden within the overgrown garden observes the changes occurring in the surroundings.
